The Respectful Maternity Care (RMC) - Health Equity Systems has a 99.2 percent efficacy rating based on pre and post participant surveys. The Likert scale was used to quantify aspects of the simulation experience. Participants completed three evaluation instruments. The first instrument was a pre-survey which captured awareness and knowledge of the black maternal mortality crisis. This instrument also assessed the participants' understanding of implicit and explicit biases and their experiences in the classroom or healthcare setting. The second instrument assessed the participants increase in knowledge of the possible biases uncovered in the case scenarios. This instrument also assessed the participants' intent to change current practices or apply any new skills learned through the RMC exploration or simulation event. The final instrument recorded qualitative data regarding the participants perceived impact from the overall educational experience.
